RMIM Nations Archive

Venezuela

Rob and Millie traveled through the country of Venezuela while traveling to the Guianas on a frontier Missions excursion in 2009. Venezuela is oppressed and afflicted in many ways, but there remains an evangelistic presence. Peoples response to the Gospel is cautious, and there is much traditionalism and legalism that governs the current Venezuelan Church. The Venezuelan Government has close ties with the Middle-East and Islam, and Venezuela is becoming an increasingly corrupt and dangerous country. Bordering Communism, many Venezuelans are fleeing to neighboring countries. Pray for the Venezuelan Government and Church, that the country be Revolutionized by Jesus and His followers, not by anything else. RMIM does not have immediate plans to return to Venezuela, but should doors open it will be prayerfully considered.
