Panama

Panama is the last country in Central America before the continent of South America begins, and features the Panama Canal. The people of Panama are generally not very open to the Gospel, however there is an Evangelistic presence. Panama is very quickly sliding into the slime of Western materialism and glamor, however does have a significant number of homeless and drunks in the streets. While in Panama, Rob and Millie traversed the country, including making contact with the Kuna peoples in the San Blas islands region. There is a general understanding of Jesus, but many of the people feel free to practice indigenous and/or Catholic/Mystical beliefs at the same time. Spiritual warfare is very evident in the atmosphere of Panama, and while here Rob and Millie experienced 2 earthquakes of great magnitude! RMIM does not have current plans to return to Panama.
