RMIM Nations Archive

Fiji

RMIM visited the island nation of Fiji in 2008, and made contact with many locals in Evangelistic efforts. Fiji has a brutal history of Cannibalism, and many Fijians look down on Missionaries for indoctrinating their culture many years ago. As a caution to you we must say that Tourists are preyed upon in Fiji, as they are in many Third World countries. In Fiji there is not a defined line in many places between what it means to be a Christian, and what it doesn’t. Many Fijians have a general understanding that they are Christ’s followers even though they rob and sell drugs, among other things. Pray for a radical standard to be lifted in Fiji that will set apart those who are saved from those of the world! RMIM does not have future plans to return to Fiji at this time.
